Competition and submission

This section regroups all technical documents for safety, evaluation & competition during the week

Competition Documentation

Bare in mind that the EHW 2024 has already taken place and a new set of Rules and Regulations as well as submission procedures will be released in the upcoming months. The following documents have been used in the previous edition and are provided for guidance.

Submission Guidelines

In the previous edition of the EHW. Teams were required to hand in 4 documents for the engineering competition. The ITD (Intend to Demonstrate), FDD (Final Design Documentation), the SPD (Safety Procedures Documentation), and the PoD (Proof of Demonstration).

The ITD covers the conceptual and preliminary design of the demonstrator (pod or subystem prototype) to bring to the competition. This is used to identify critical issues with the design and additional requirements that may be required from the team depending on the systems they intend to bring.

The FDD contains all final design documentation of the prototypes and the SPD contains the safety procedures and testing plans to be carried out before the competition. Finally, the PoD contains the results of the tests that were conducted.

For the Full-Scale side of the competition, two documents must be delivered; first, the ITSR (Intend to Submit Research) and the FRS (Final Research Submission). The first document contains the research plan, outlining the objectives, relevancy and methodology of the research, and the second document is the finalized research article.

Note: For more information consult the individual documents and the Rules and Regulations.
