About EHW

EHW is an annual international event dedicated to the Hyperloop:
a future mode of transport. University Hyperloop teams present prototype components and full-scale pods to a panel of judges, competing in several categories. EHW encourages innovation and technological development
to make Hyperloop the fifth means of transport.

Hyperloop, known as the fifth mode of transportation, combines the speed of air travel - around 1,000 km/h - with the convenience and frequency of rail. Its concept is straightforward: capsules levitate in low-pressure tubes, removing surface and air friction through magnetic levitation and a near-vacuum environment.

Mission,
how to foster

At EHW we aim to create a European Hyperloop network by challenging the best universities to produce innovative solutions
to hyperloop development challenges. We’re committed to tackling the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals in developing
a world-leading platform for future modes of transportation.
We strongly believe in action, which is why we run in-person competitions with the aim of producing functional hyperloop systems.
