Marketing Department

Website Manager

Expected workload: 6 hours/week

Department: Event Production Department.

Location: Remote. Preferably in Europe.



The Marketing Department plays a vital role in shaping the public image and outreach of the European Hyperloop Week (EHW). It ensures that EHW’s vision and achievements are effectively communicated to stakeholders, attendees, and the broader public. From creating promotional campaigns to managing social media platforms and designing event materials, the Marketing team works tirelessly to deliver compelling content that drives engagement.

As the Website Manager, you’ll oversee the website's functionality, ensure its content is current and engaging, and maintain an intuitive layout that aligns with EHW’s branding. While coding expertise is not required, you’ll need a strong understanding of web management tools and a keen eye for detail to ensure the website runs smoothly and communicates EHW’s message effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the website layout to ensure it is user-friendly, visually appealing, and aligned with EHW’s branding.

  • Update website content regularly, including event details, application stages, announcements, and deadlines.

  • Monitor website performance to ensure all features, pages, and links are functioning correctly.

  • Collaborate with the Content, Design, and Social Media teams to integrate updates and promotional materials.

  • Communicate the different stages of the application process clearly on the website.

  • Troubleshoot minor website issues and coordinate with developers or technical support when necessary.

  • Optimize the site for accessibility and performance on both desktop and mobile platforms.

  • Ensure the website is a clear and effective resource for all audiences, from participants to sponsors.

Requirements

As head of Logistics, to fulfill all your responsibilities, it is important you:

  • Are experienced managing and maintaining websites using tools such as WordPress, Wix, or similar platforms.

  • Have basic knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) to monitor performance and suggest improvements.

  • Have strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Are familiar with SEO principles and best practices

  • Are able to speak English and Dutch fluently.

  • Are available during the EHW (14 - 20 July 2024).
